15 Tourists at Timber Trail rescued after 6 hours

On 20 June 2022, the 15 tourists who went on a joyrode on a cable car at Parwanoo Timber Trail in Himachal Pradesh had a harrowing time after their trolley got stuck mid-air due to some technical issues in the cable car.
A separate trolley was deployed to rescue the stranded tourists and all people have been rescued.

A similar scene was seen on October 13, 1992, when the haulage cable broke near the docking station and the cable car carrying 11 passengers slid backwards. And now, this is the 2nd incident at Timber Trail in the last 30 Years.

Later in the day, the state police lodged an FIR against the management of Timber Trail resort management for rashly and negligently endangering human life or personal safety of others. The FIR was registered on the statement of Anand Goyal, one of the rescued tourists, under IPC Sections 336 and 283.

A team of National Disaster Response Force and the resort conducted the rescue operation.
