Chandigarh Furniture Market - Fire breaks out

Major fire broke out in the furniture market alongside the road separating Sector 53 and 54 in Chandigarh on 22 June 2022. Fire Department officials said that the furniture and other goods of more than 11 shops were gutted in the fire which broke out around 4:00 PM. An eyewitness said the fire seemed to have first broken out at the backside of the market.

At least 12 fire engines from different fire stations in the Chandigarh have rushed to the spot and the reason for the fire is yet to ascertained.
Its the 11 major fire in the Chandigarh Furniture Market in the last 15 Years.
